Position Overview:

Burlington Riverfront Entertainment (BRE) is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and relationship-driven Events Manager to coordinate private event rentals across several premier venues including Memorial AuditoriumThe Port of Burlington, and The Burlington Depot. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating memorable experiences while building strong community and business relationships. The Events Manager will also play a hands-on role in event execution and facility operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Venue Rentals & Event Coordination:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for individuals and organizations renting BRE managed venues for weddings, parties, and more.
  • Guide clients through the full event process: inquiries, venue tours, contracts, planning, and day-of coordination.
  • Manage venue calendars and booking systems to ensure efficient scheduling and communication.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to deliver successful events.
  • Assist with event setup and tear down to ensure spaces are properly prepared and restored.

Business & Community Partnerships:

  • Build and maintain partnerships with local service providers (e.g., caterers, photographers, decorators, rental companies).
  • Develop packages or referral programs to enhance offerings for clients.
  • Act as a liaison between renters and service providers to ensure smooth coordination.

Sponsorship & Revenue Development:

  • Assist the Executive Director in securing sponsorships for public-facing events.
  • Help draft and deliver sponsorship proposals and maintain sponsor relationships.
  • Support event promotion efforts tied to sponsorship deliverables.

Operations Support (As Needed):

  • Assist with box office ticketing, guest services, and concessions during live events or venue rentals.
  • Step in to support frontline staff during high-volume events or staff shortages.
  • Ensure all areas of the venue are safe, clean, and guest-ready.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in event management, venue coordination, or hospitality.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to perform hands-on event duties, including setup, teardown, and concessions.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, POS platforms, and event scheduling software a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,000 – $46,000 per year
