- 7 – 9 PM: Tubing & Dinner Bash (Cone Park, 3800 Line Drive, Sioux City)
- Join us for an exhilarating evening of tubing, networking, and delicious dining at Cone Park in Sioux City, Iowa. Glide down the slopes under the summer sky, mingle with fellow attendees, and indulge in a sumptuous dinner with refreshing drinks. - David Bernstein, co-founder of Saturday in the Park, has worked to shape Sioux City’s tourism scene unconventionally. From founding the festival in 1991 to advancing the Orpheum Theatre, helping to found the Sioux City CVB, and attracting Hard Rock to Iowa, he prioritizes innovation. Bernstein’s approach emphasizes creativity and risk-taking, proving that success in tourism stems from unconventional thinking and unwavering dedication.
- 10 – 11 AM: Awards Ceremony
- The iTIP Foundation annual awards ceremony will honor excellence in nine distinct award categories spanning the breadth of the tourism industry. We’ll celebrate the exceptional contributions of 14 partners from across the state. Guiding us through this memorable event will be the esteemed emcee Bruce Miller from the Sioux City Journal, ensuring an event filled with prestige and recognition.

- 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM: Sioux City Community Tour + Lunch
- Discover Sioux City’s unique charm during our lunch adventure with Explore Siouxland. Dive into the fascinating world of the Sioux City Railroad Museum, a hidden gem waiting to be explored. Join us for an unforgettable journey through history, topped off with a delightful sweet treat to savor as we conclude our tour. Lunch is provided to all event attendees.
- 1:30 – 2:15 PM: iTIP Annual Meeting
- iTIP will take this opportunity to reflect on the successes and initiatives of FY24 while adopting the annual report as well as elect officers and board members for FY25. Attendees will gain insights into the future of Iowa’s tourism industry as we preview the exciting plans and initiatives set for FY25. This event is essential for all members of Iowa’s tourism industry to stay informed and shape their expectations for the upcoming year.
- 2:15 – 3:15 PM: High 5 Segment
- Industry partners will steal the spotlight during our exciting new segment. Partners have been selected to share about a recent game-changing initiative that may ignite inspiration in fellow colleagues. The 2024 High 5 topics are:
- Garnering Earned National Media (i.e. USA Today’s 10Best) presented by Madison County Chamber of Commerce
- Using Live Video of Parks for Tourism Promotion presented by Jones County Tourism Association
- The Ames Insider Guide presented by Discover Ames
- Geocaching as Tourism Promotion presented by Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce
- Certified Tourism Ambassador Program presented by Visit Quad Cities
- Industry partners will steal the spotlight during our exciting new segment. Partners have been selected to share about a recent game-changing initiative that may ignite inspiration in fellow colleagues. The 2024 High 5 topics are:
- 3:15 – 3:45 PM: Closing Remarks
- Optional Evening Activity: For anyone wanting to stay another night, join the group at an outing at the Sioux City Explorers baseball game. The game begins at 7:05 PM and the group will most likely catch dinner somewhere before hand. Tickets to the game are $10. All costs associated with Tuesday evening are on your own.
