Hear from the executive directors of the Association of Iowa Fairs (representing county and district fairs across the state), the Iowa PGA (supporting golf professionals, courses, and tournaments), and the Iowa Gaming Association (advocating on behalf of Iowa’s commercial casinos). Each leader will share how their organization supports members, promotes economic impact, and creates opportunities within their sector. Let’s have a conversation on how we can all work together to build strong partnerships and a more connected industry.

PRESENTER:
Tom Barnes: Executive Director, Association of Iowa Fairs
Tom Barnes has dedicated his life to advancing Iowa’s fair industry and building stronger communities through service and leadership. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Association of Iowa Fairs, a role he has held since 1997. In addition, Tom has been at the helm of the Mighty Howard County Fair in Cresco for over four decades, where he continues to serve as Executive Secretary of the Howard County Agricultural Society.
Outside of his work in fairs, Tom is Vice President of Cresco Building Service and an active community leader in his hometown of Cresco.
Mary Earnhardt: Executive Director, Iowa Gaming Association
Mary Earnhardt is the President and CEO of the Iowa Gaming Association, which is the statewide trade association of Iowa’s 19 commercial casinos. Prior to taking on this role, Earnhardt has spent her professional career working for the Iowa Legislative Branch, in private-sector government relations, and on political campaigns in Iowa.
Greg Mason: Executive Director, Iowa PGA
Greg Mason is the Executive Director and CEO of the Iowa PGA Section and the Iowa PGA Foundation, representing over 280 PGA professionals and associates across Iowa. A PGA Member since 1988, Greg brings deep experience in course operations, player development, and association leadership.
He has helped grow the Section’s reach and impact, guiding strategic efforts that support both professional development and community engagement. Greg is also a founding member of the G.I.V.E. Foundation, which provides golf opportunities for injured veterans. As well as a five-time Bill Strausbaugh Award winner and has been named Iowa PGA Golf Professional of the Year.
