DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join your industry friends and colleagues of Iowa’s tourism industry for the iTIP Summer Celebration. The event includes the Mini Golf Tournament\, Annual Meeting\, and Awards Ceremony throughout Sunday\, June 11 and Monday\, June 12. Let’s celebrate another year of growth and fellowship amongst the tourism industry! \nSchedule of Events: \nSunday\, June 11 \n\nMini Golf Tournament\nLet’s have fun with our colleagues from around the state with a little competition! A mini-golf tournament fundraiser will take place from 2:30 – 4:30 PM throughout Downtown Cedar Falls. All participants will have the opportunity to explore Downtown Cedar Falls while networking with the colleagues of their team. All equipment is provided. A shuttle will be available from the hotel.\nEvening Dinner + Fun\nJoin your friends and colleagues for a fun and relaxing evening out in Cedar Falls. Meet at Double Tap (Downtown Cedar Falls) for games and networking starting at 6 PM. A shuttle will be available from the hotel.\n\n\nMonday\, June 12 \n \niTIP Annual Meeting\n \nIt’s time to highlight the accomplishments of the organization over the last year. There will be opportunities for education\, fellowship\, and peer learning throughout the event. \n\n10 – 10:30 AM – Check In\n\nKeynote: Sydney Rieckhoff\n10:30 AM – Welcome & iTIP Business\n11 AM – Speaker: Sydney Rieckhoff\n\nSydney Rieckhoff is the 24-year-old CEO of Almost Famous Popcorn Company\, a gourmet popcorn brand in Cedar Rapids she co-founded at 14 years old. Almost Famous Popcorn is an Iowa-based company with a nationwide presence. Sydney is a graduate of Stanford University. She highlights her experiences as a young woman in business through a personal brand called\, The Popcorneur\, with an aim of inspiring other women and young people to pursue their dreams.\n\n\n12 PM – Lunch & Networking\n1 PM – Industry Round Table Discussions\n2 PM – Cedar Falls Experience\n\nThe Cedar Falls Tourism team is putting together a fun experience for all attendees to take part in. Take your chance at a game winning field goal during a VIP Stadium Tour at the iconic UNI-Dome!\n\n\n\nAwards Ceremony \n \nEmcee: Gary Kroeger\niTIP is excited to host our first award ceremony. 17 industry partners have been selected from nominations to receive 2023 awards. Congratulations to each of the award recipients! The full list of award winners may be found here. \nThe Awards Ceremony is a fundraiser for iTIP. All funds will be used to support education and advocacy programs of the association. \n\n4 PM – Cocktail Reception\n4:45 PM – Awards Ceremony\n\n\n\nFeatured Emcee: Gary Kroeger\n\nGary was born in Cedar Falls and attended Northwestern University. In Chicago he helped found The Practical Theatre Company. This association caught the eye of Saturday Night Live producers and he became a regular on the venerable late night comedy show. Gary has since moved back to Cedar Falls and is a passionate advocate for many causes.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nThe hotel room block at Holiday Inn & Suites Bien VenU (7400 Hudson Rd\, Cedar Falls) closed on Friday\, May 26. \nRegistration is currently closed for this event.
